A NOTE FROM FOUNDER LAURI CLAY
I built this idea from a feeling I know well.
I moved to Atlanta from Buffalo. I have family and friends who love me, but they're not always here when I want company for an appointment or simply want to hang out. I've met so many others who feel the same way.
Somebody Local ATL is my way of helping independent adults build more of that nearby connection. Because having somebody in your corner should not depend on where your family lives.

A few honest answers.
Is Somebody Local ATL open for bookings?
Companion bookings are not open yet. Our casual group meetups are being planned every two weeks; check the meetup section for the next confirmed date and place.
Is this dating or home care?
No. The concept is platonic social companionship for independent adults. It does not provide medical or personal care.
Will someone drive me or take me home after a procedure?
Rides, responsible-adult discharge arrangements and post-procedure supervision are not available. For appointments, the concept is to meet at the destination for routine visits when company would be welcome.
How much will it cost?
The self-guided Starter Kit is $4.99. We're still shaping pricing for future companion services; casual coffee meetups are free to attend.
How will companions be selected?
Trust matters. Screening, references, matching and clear conduct standards are part of the operating model we're developing. We'll share the specific process before taking bookings.
